How to Order Metal Roofing Cut to the Inch

A simple step-by-step for measuring your roof and placing a cut-to-length order with Conco so panels arrive ready to install.

Conco cuts metal roofing panels to the inch from 30 inches up to 45 feet. Ordering correctly the first time saves money and prevents return trips to the yard. Here is how to do it cleanly.

Measure each roof plane from ridge to eave. Add a small overhang allowance per your installer's specs (commonly 1.5 to 3 inches). Note the width of each plane so we can calculate panel count using a 36 inch coverage width.

List your trim and accessories: ridge cap, gable, eave, drip edge, valley, sidewall, fasteners, and closure strips. Bring this list to the yard or read it over the phone at 931-823-9780.

If you are uncertain about any measurement, send photos. Our team helps homeowners and contractors finalize takeoffs every day. We would rather take an extra five minutes up front than have you short a panel on install day.
